Finished a sketch book for the first time in a while. This one was dedicated to little park studies- 5-10min max sketches, each done on location. These are some of my favorites.
•
It fills my heart to sit in the park and just observe. Sketching the environment has helped me to appreciate it more and to feel more present. It has allowed me to continue to grow this skill and develop a style.
•
I look forward to any day I get to go sit in these places, and just take it in- away from the devices. No sketch is either good or bad- it’s progress towards the next one and a moment captured through my eyes.
•
Enjoying the process, the growth of the journey, and each moment where you can zone out and just create.

Last week I got to visit the places where all the magic began- and continues to thrive!✨

Stops at the Walt Disney Studios Lot, Legacy Courtyard, The Walt Disney Archives, Walt Disney Imagineering Anaheim, and the original- 1401 Flower Street- Walt Disney Imagineering Glendale… this visit checked a huge box on my bucket list!

Being able to walk down the halls that Walt and the first Imagineers went down is extraordinary! Stepping into the history of this company was incredible! I can’t really put it into words…. You feel the legacy that was there and feel the excitement of the legacy being written.

And no visit to California would be complete without a stop at Disneyland!!

Last week I got to visit the places where all the magic began- and continues to thrive!✨

Participated in my 5th SCAD Sidewalk Arts Festival this weekend (& 1st year as an alumni 🥹)

The past 4 years I have dedicated my sidewalk square to Disney anniversaries or personal Disney career goals- this year was a celebration of those continued passions and the first steps in my career journey post grad✨!
•
It was amazing to hear people walk by and shout out Disney ships they have sailed on- or share trips they have planned soon!
•
•
This has been my favorite SCAD event- a colorful day at the park! Seeing everyone walk through and admire hundreds of artists at work- showcasing their talents through visuals that they are most passionate about! It is a beautiful celebration of art and community! I am so grateful for the continued opportunity to take part in it!
